Billing, Refunds & Cancellation
How we bill, our refund policy, and how to cancel recurring hosting.
Last updated: June 2026.
This policy explains how Skarnyx, the brand of Skarnyx Solutions LLC ("Skarnyx," "we," "us," or "our"), bills for paid work and how refunds and cancellations are handled. Every paid engagement is also governed by a separate written agreement (a proposal or statement of work) signed before any work begins. If that signed agreement conflicts with this policy for a given project, the signed agreement controls for that project. All amounts are in U.S. dollars (USD).
1. How pricing works
Website builds are custom and priced per project. The fee, scope, and schedule for your project are set out in the written agreement we provide before work starts. Optional ongoing hosting, security, and maintenance is a separate, recurring monthly service described in Section 5. Payments are made through Stripe (or another method stated in your agreement). Submitting the contact form or receiving a proposal does not by itself create an obligation to provide services; a project begins only once the agreement is signed and the deposit is received.
2. Deposits and project payment
Projects are billed in two parts: a deposit (typically 50% of the project fee) to begin, and the remaining balance on completion. The deposit reserves your place on our schedule and covers setup and work already underway. We begin work after the deposit and the materials you are responsible for providing are received. The final balance is due on completion, before final delivery and before any transfer of website files or ownership.
3. Refunds
All payments are non-refundable, including the deposit. Because we reserve schedule time and begin work specifically for your project, deposits and project payments are not refundable once made. This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable law that cannot be waived.
4. Cancelling a project
Either party may cancel a project with written notice. If you cancel after work has begun, you remain responsible for the non-refundable deposit and for any additional work completed up to the cancellation date, billed at the rates in your agreement. Website files, code, and ownership transfer only upon full payment.
5. Ongoing hosting, security & maintenance (recurring)
Ongoing hosting, security, and maintenance is an optional service billed as a monthly subscription. It is charged automatically in advance each month through Stripe at the amount stated in your hosting agreement and at checkout, and it automatically renews every month until you cancel. The recurring amount, billing frequency, and start date are shown to you before you subscribe.
6. Cancelling recurring hosting
You may cancel the monthly hosting subscription at any time by emailing at least seven (7) days before your next monthly billing date. Cancellation stops all future charges. The current billing month is non-refundable and is not prorated. You own your website code and may move it to another host at any time; on request we will provide a reasonable export so you can transfer hosting elsewhere. Hosting, security monitoring, backups, and included monthly updates end when the subscription ends.
7. Payment methods & security
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Payments — project deposits, balances, and monthly hosting — are processed securely by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's PCI-DSS–compliant checkout and are never stored on our servers. All prices and charges are in U.S. dollars (USD).
